Bye Bye Birdie

A pair of Cardinals are right outside my window caring for their babies. They made their nest in a bush and they watch me as I watch them.

Several years back I purchased a sweet children's bench. It was heavy rod iron and looked like it belonged in a fairy tale.

One day as I was out watering the flowers I saw a fluttering through the corner of my eye. When I looked it was a fledgling and somehow he had fallen and to make matters worse his leg had become lodged and stuck between the slats of the bench. It was obvious that his leg was broken.

Every time I came near,  his Mama would swoop down from the tree to scare me away.

I donned my gardening gloves and slowly made my way to the sweet baby bird. I managed to free him, but all he did was sit in the corner of my garden and pant in pain.

I called a Vet and he said to let the Mama take over and that there was nothing he could do for a bird with a broken leg.

For three days I watched the Mom feed him and protect him. She did not abandon him. She took care of all her babies.

Soon he was hopping around and before I knew it he was gone. I was sad when I couldn't see him anymore. I nicknamed him Trooper and I prayed that he wasn't eaten by a feral cat or raccoon.

Fast forward one year.

I was looking out my window watching birds peck and look for food.

When one particular bird caught my attention.

It was a little black bird with a deformed leg...hopping along feeding and joining in the birdie banquet.

                          I wonder........

Bloggy buddy Hacked and evil Turned up in the Blog roll

Today I received an email from my friend who follows my blog. She stated that when she went to the side of my blog (where I have my blog roll of other blogs that I follow) she saw something x-rated and quite graphic in the picture .

When I went to warn My blogger buddy that it was obvious that her blog had been hacked All blogger had up was "sorry this blog can not be found" . I am so sorry to anyone who visited my blog and might have seen the side bar with that disgusting picture/gif....

and for the person who did it....are you really that bored? are you really stupid? are you really that evil? I pride myself in having a blog that can be visited by anyone and not feel offended. I strive to have a place where people feel welcomed and comfortable and at home. For this reason I will not be able to add a blog roll of my favorite blogs. It's unfortunate , but it is necessary for now. I will report this to Blogger and hopefully they will do something about it.

Again I apologize to anyone that may have seen that disgusting picture. If  you can please check your own blog roll for anything inappropriate or for that matter just check to see if any other of your bloggy buddies have been hacked too, I am sure they would want to know if they don't already.

Blessings, Joanne

Someone Has Been Busy

Reliving a lot of High School memories lately

                   All the bad ones

My Daughter is having a hard time. She is losing friends and she doesn't understand why.

My guess...someone said something that was repeated to someone and that someone told someone else and now someone needs to tell everyone except my daughter and that is what I think happened. All of this could have been avoided if someone who had a problem with my daughter would have gone to her and talked it out with her.

That someone gets around...they were there when I was in High School too.

Lord Grant me the serenity to accept the things that I cannot change.....

WE WILL NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER

                            ...BUY ANOTHER SONY TV AGAIN!

When I first started this blog ... (about 3 1/2 years ago) one of my first post was about how things are always breaking down around here. I took a picture of our TV ..(a SONY) because  the picture screen would show no Green color at all.

When  I called the company The young man simply stated...it might be better if we bought another TV. That TV was less than 5 years old!. Right before the absence of Green, My Sweet Husband had bought another TV for the basement ("Man Room "that never was).

"Well", he said "I guess I bought this just in time. Instead of going downstairs we'll just put the new one in the Living Room."  It was another Sony. Now lets clarify...He Bought another SONY not knowing that our old TV was going to go wacko..

We had no idea that Sony was now making these TVs with parts that would wear out within years. There was a whole law suit with throngs of people complaining about the very same thing that happened to us.

So, we crossed our fingers and hoped that The absence of the color green would not be a problem with the new TV.

Three years later... I can honestly say that the absence of green has never been a problem

     We've got plenty of green,

                                              and red,

                                            and orange

Artsy Fartsy Friday~~~Beautiful Video about "Giving"

                 I was feeling sad.

I was feeling a bit neglected

I was feeling a bit "Taken for granted"

I was feeling lonely.

The kind of loneliness that can afflict you even in a room full of            people.

and what was sadder still is that no one really knew.

yes, I was feeling a bit sorry for myself.

Then as nothing I tried seemed to work I decided to put aside my sadness for a bit and do something for someone else. I gave of my time and effort to another who needed a bit of my elbow grease.

and so I worked. I got my hands dirty.

and something miraculous happened.

         I didn't feel sad anymore.

There is nothing more satisfying than to give of yourself to someone that probably has it tougher than you.

Today I bring you a video Uploaded to You Tube by TheCorpfa
Warning...after watching this video you will feel an overwhelming feeling of Love and inspiration!

Song: "Give a little Love" by Noah and the Whale

             Matthew 22:36-39

"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?"

Jesus replied: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind'. This is the first and greatest commandment.  And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself'.'

Have a beautiful Weekend!
 Blessings, Joanne
